Provincial women unions to manage funds for rural water supply project

VGP - Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng has agreed with the Finance Ministry’s proposal on assigning provincial women’s unions to participate in managing funds for the Asian Development Bank-financed project on providing clean water and sanitation in rural areas in Central Việt Nam.

Some 350,000 people from six coastal central provinces of Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An, Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Nam and Bình Định are direct beneficiaries of the project.

The project is invested with US $50 million in total, including a 32-year loan of US $45 million from the Asian Development Bank.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
