Long Thành International Airport plan to be appraised soon

VGP - The Ministry of Transport must establish an evaluation council to appraise the master plan on Long Thành International Airport before submitting it to the PM for approval in October.

PM Hoàng Trung Hải has delivered such opinions to the ministry.

According to the Southern Airports Corporation, the airport will be built on an area of 5,000 ha in Long Thành District of the southern province of Đồng Nai, 40 km from Hồ Chí Minh City, and 43 km from the Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport.

The Long Thành International Airport is designed to serve 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargoes per year. It has 4 runways with 4,000 m in length and 60 m in width to receive A380-800 planes and similar one.

Geological and infrastructural surveys at the construction site are being implemented.
