Gov’t determines to clean drug from social life

VGP – The Government chief lately requested relevant ministries, agencies and localities to wage a month-long campaign to prevent and fight against drug trafficking in June.

The campaign targets to mobilize the aggregate strength of the entire political system and community to expose and denounce drug criminals. Practical solutions are encouraged to help rehabilitate drug addicts and integrate them into the society.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng required press media to disseminate news on negative impacts of drugs, especially to the most vulnerable groups.

The Government chief instructed inferiors to raze hot spots and launch offensives against drug criminals in big cities.

In addition, PM Dũng also ordered relevant ministries, agencies and sectors to boost international cooperation with regional countries, especially neighboring ones, in order to investigate and eliminate cross-border trafficking.   

He suggested the Việt Nam Fatherland Front (VFF), in collaboration with relevant ministries, agencies and localities, encourage people to acitively prevent drug crimes.

Meanwhile, the judicial organs were proposed to work with police forces to prosecute and judge big drug-related cases. 

The Ministry of Public Security was entrusted to supervise and investigate the implementation of the campaign and report the outcomes to the PM before July 30./.
