Training 5 mil. mothers in child rearing

VGP – By 2015, five million Vietnamese mothers having under-16-year-old children will acquire accurate knowledge of child raising.

The Government recently approved the project to educate 5 million mothers in the period of 2010 and 2015 in nurturing children.

Generally, the project aims to equip the mothers with under-16-year-old children acquire necessary child-raising knowledge and skills to minimize the percentage of malnutrition, disease infection, and juvenile crime.

Specifically, 3 million mothers will be trained to nurture their minors.

At least 1.5 million minors will access to knowledge of reproductive health and life skills.

Two million fathers will be introduced information of child caring, gender equality, and prevention of domestic violence./.
