Steering Committee founded for WEF on East Asia

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng just decided to establish the Steering Committee, headed by Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải, for preparations for the World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia 2010 to be held in Việt Nam.

WEF on East Asia 2010 is organized in Việt Nam in June 2010.

WEF on East Asia will open in June 2010. This is the first Việt Nam to host a top regional meeting of WEF which will attract 350-400 heads of states and governments in the region, businessmen, scholars and journalists.

The agenda will focus on issues of international and regional concern. This is also a forum for investors and enterprises to meet and discuss development strategies and tendencies of the world economy.

In 2010, as the Chair of ASEAN in 2010, Việt Nam is the ideal host of the WEF on East Asia, where leaders across East Asia will discuss how to ensure the region's ongoing competitiveness and enlarge its voice in global cooperation.

WEF selects Việt Nam as one of exemplary countries of economic recovery and the country is expected to share her experience of fostering national competitiveness and developing the business community.
