Deputy PM receives Thai Ambassador

The Thai Ambassador took the occasion to hail socio-economic achievements of Việt Nam. Thanks to the proactive and drastic solutions taken by the Vietnamese Government, the host country succeeded in mitigating negative impacts of the global financial crisis and downturn, he added.

The Ambassador pledged to continue nurturing the economic and commercial linkages between the two nations. 

The Thai diplomat revealed that in the last four months in office, he toured three central localities namely Thừa Thiên-Huế, Quảng Trị and Đà Nẵng and is planning a seminar with a view to boosting trade and investment ties among the two countries’ localities.  

Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm highly spoke of the diplomat’s contributions to strengthening the friendly and traditional ties between Việt Nam and Thailand, especially in the areas of economics, trade and investment.

The host leader also expressed his desire to seek for further assistance from the Ambassador and the Thai Government for closer bilateral ties and Việt Nam’s fruitful assumption of the ASEAN Presidency in 2010.
