Internet and mobile services to cover most islands by 2015
VGP – Việt Nam plans to popularize internet, mobile, post and telecommunication services in most of its offshore populated islands in 2015, according to a PM-approved project on information network for offshore islands and sea areas.

The country will also expand TV and radio coverage to islands and territorial waters to make sure that 100% of Vietnamese islanders can get access to broadcasts.
To attain the above targets, information infrastructure for islands and territorial waters will be upgraded and more broadcast stations built along the coast.
The project on information enhancement and improvement aims at intensifying socio-economic development in islands and serving for search and rescue efforts.
