Teenagers are waiting for their turns to receive first jab of COVID-19 vaccine  in HCMC

This is part of the city's plan to vaccinate 780,000 teenagers aged between 12 and 17 with the participation of 3,900 health workers who have taken part in an online training session to equip themselves with knowledge and skills on how to organise child vaccination, pre-inoculation screening, handling post-injection side effects, and responding to emergencies.

A survey shows that 92.13 percent of parents gave permission for their children to get vaccinated, the municipal Department of Education and Training said.

As of Monday, more than 7.14 million residents in the southern metropolis have taken the first vaccine jabs, of whom 5.6 million were fully vaccinated, according to official statistics.
