Viet Nam reports 4,254 new COVID-19 cases, 3,808 recoveries

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 4,254 new COVID-19 cases this evening, raising the COVID-19 count on Monday to 7,455.

The latest patients include seven imported cases.

All the others are domestic infections in Ho Chi Minh City (2,267), Binh Duong (453), Long An (445), Khanh Hoa (286), Dong Nai (191), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (132), Ha Noi (113), Can Tho (102), Dong Thap (66), Tra Vinh (31), Phu Yen (25), Ninh Thuan (19), Quang Nam (19), Dak Lak (14), Nghe An (13), Hau Giang (11), Binh Phuoc (8), Binh Dinh (7), Ha Tinh (7), Son La (6), Gia Lai (6), Thanh Hoa (5), Thua Thien-Hue (4), Vinh Phuc (3), Lang Son (3), Quang Ngai (3), Ha Nam (2), Quang Binh (2), Dak Nong (2), Hung Yen (1), and Kien Giang (1). Of these, 1368 cases were detected in the community.

These new cases bring the national caseload to 161,761, including 157,919 locally-transmitted cases recorded in 62 cities and provinces since April 27.

The same day, the ministry reported 3,808 new recoveries, sending the total number of recovered cases to 46,965.

It also announced further 389 fatalities in four southern localities, namely Ho Chi Minh City (354), Binh Duong (25), Dong Nai (6), and Long An (4), taking the death toll to 1,695./.
