Additional 5,279 COVID-19 cases confirmed

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from July 10 to 6:00 am of July 24.

The domestic cases are residents in 19 localities: HCMC (2,070), Long An (1,892), Binh Duong (523), Tien Giang (220), Tay Ninh (132), Dong Nai (122), Khanh Hoa (104), Ben Tre (52), Da Nang (36), Dong Thap (29), Vinh Long (25), Vinh Phuc (18), Kien Giang (14), Phu Yen (12), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (8), Hau Giang (6), Ha Noi (5), Hung Yen (4), and Dak Lak (3). Of these 2,073 were detected at quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

Among the national patient tally, 84,812 are locally-transmitted cases, including 83,242 documented in 62 cities and provinces since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence began.

Eight out of the above localities have gone 14 days without community infection, namely Yen Bai, Quang Tri, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh and Bac Kan.

As of late July 21, 4,478,757 vaccine doses were administered, with 353,601 people fully vaccinated./.
