Health ministry confirms 2,570 new COVID-19 cases

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 2,570 further infection cases this evening, raising the COVID-19 count on Wednesday to 5,357.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from July 1-21

The latest patients comprise two imported cases and 2,568 domestic infections in Ho Chi Minh City (1,817), Binh Duong (307), Dong Thap (109), Dong Nai (85), Long An (52), Ha Noi (38), Tay Ninh (30), Ninh Thuan (22), Phu Yen (21), Vinh Phuc (18), Can Tho (16), Tra Vinh (10), Binh Thuan (7),Binh Dinh (6), Soc Trang (6), Bac Ninh (4), Dak Lak (4), Lam Dong (3), Quang Ngai (3), Nghe An (3), Hung Yen (3), Lang Son (2), Phu Tho (1), and Thanh Hoa (1).

Of the local infections, 688 cases were detected in community.

The above cases bring the national patient tally to 68,117, including 2,099 imported cases and 66,078 domestic infections.

The same day, the ministry announced 528 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the total number of recovered cases to 11,971./.
