Ministry asked to draft project on establishment of national vaccine institute

The institute is responsible for research, development and transfer of vaccine technologies.

Viet Nam has produced 11 out of 12 vaccines for the expanded program on immunization (EPI), making it among few countries in Southeast Asia capable of producing most of the important vaccines needed. Its vaccines have been exported to 10 countries.

Vu also agreed to allow the ministry to foster cooperation in building research, preclinical, and clinical study centers in accordance with international standards./.
