Additional 2,015 COVID-19 cases confirmed

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 2,015 new COVID-19 cases on Monday morning, raising the national caseload to 55,845.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from June 1 to 6:00 am of July 19

The latest patients include one imported case quarantined upon arrival in Ha Noi.

All the others are 2,014 domestically-transmitted cases in 20 localities including 1,535 cases in  HCMC, 215 in Binh Duong, 74 in Dong Nai, 41 in Vinh Long, 30 in Ben Tre, 25 in Phu Yen, 19 in Soc Trang, 17 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, 14 in Quang Ngai, 12 in Ha Noi, eight in An Giang, six in Dong Thap, five in Tra Vinh, three in Bac Ninh, two in Hau Giang, two in Quang Nam, two in Vinh Phuc, two in Lao Cai, one in Thai Binh, and one in Gia Lai. Of these, 1,688 cases were detected at quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

Among the national patient tally, 53,785 are locally-transmitted cases, including 52,215 documented in 58 cities and provinces since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence began.

Twelve out of the above localities have gone 14 days without community infection, namely Yen Bai, Quang Tri, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh and Bac Kan.

The total number of recoveries reached 10,667.

Among the current positive cases, 118 patients were admitted to intensive care units, of whom 18 are critically ill and dependent on ECMO./.
