VN, US start anti-climate change cooperation

The signing ceremony of the establishment of the Việt Nam-US Working Team for climate change

The ceremony was carried out today at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) in Hà Nội.

The establishment of the Team will strengthen the role of the US in solving climate change problems in the world.

For Việt Nam, the event is a good foundation to enhance the National Goal Program on climate change.

It also paves the way for the future cooperation between the MONRE and the DOI.

In the framework of cooperation between the two sides, the Delta Research and Global Observation Network (DRAGON) for the Mekong Delta will be inaugurated on November 20 in Cần Thơ City.

DRAGON will focus on researches into climate change in the Mekong Delta.

The initiative of establishing DRAGON was proposed by the DOI with the aim of connecting scientists all over the world in this field. The network attracted a score of professionals and scientists in many countries, including Việt Nam.
