Capital to suspend non-essential services from July 13

VGP – The local authorities of Ha Noi have decided to temporarily suspend non- essential services from 0:00 am on July 13 for fears of COVID-19 transmission.

This is part of a legal document issued on July 12 on measures to prevent COVID-19 pandemic in the new period.  

Specifically, restaurants (excluding takeaway service) and barbershops are requested to temporarily close. Entertainments, outdoor sports activities, mass gatherings at parks, gardens, and public places are not allowed.

The Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee asked returnees from HCMC and other disease-hit areas or those who have direct contacts with the aforesaid people to make full health declaration at website  www.tokhaiyte.vn or use apps Ncovi and Bluezone. In addition, these people are requested to present negative Real-time PCR SARS-CoV-2 tests within three days before returning to Ha Noi. 

Especially, from July 13, returnees from HCMC are requested to immediately inform the local authorities and stay at home within 14 days. 

Earlier, Ha Noi authorities decided to suspend outdoor sport activities and physical exercise starting 6:00pm on July 8 due to the complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Leaders of local departments, agencies and district-level People’s Committees are tasked to request Hanoians to go out only for essential purposes, and rigorously observe the 5K message – Khau trang (Face masks), Khu khuan (Disinfection), Khoang cach (Distancing), Khong tu tap (No gatherings), and Khai bao y te (Health declarations) – and preventive rules set by the Government and city.

The capital city has reported 328 infections since the fourth coronavirus wave hit the country on April 27.

Just this week alone, the city observed about 50 new local coronavirus cases from multiple clusters, including the Thang Long industrial park in Dong Anh District.
