Ninety-seven new COVID-19 cases take national tally to 13,727

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 97 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday evening, bringing the national caseload to 13,727.

The latest patients include nine Vietnamese repatriated from Indonesia (five), Burundi (one), Mozambique (one), and Malaysia (two).

All the others are domestic infections recorded in Ho Chi Minh City (63), Bac Giang (12), Bac Ninh (six), Hung Yen (two), Nghe An (one), and Ha Noi (one).

Since the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence on April 27, there have been 10,437 community infection cases in 43 out of 63 cities and provinces.

Among the aforesaid localities, Bac Giang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bac Ninh are hit hardest with 5,458, 1,920, and 1,575 cases, respectively.

The ministry also reported that 93 patients were discharged from hospitals, raising the total number of recoveries to 5,546./.
