Forty-seven new COVID-19 cases take national tally to 13,258

VGP - The Ministry of Health announced 47 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday morning, raising the national patient tally to 13,258.

The latest cases include one Vietnamese repatriated from France and 46 domestic infections recorded in HCMC (33 cases), Bac Giang (five), Bac Ninh (four), Tien Giang (two), Nghe An (one), and Tra Vinh (one).

Of the local cases, 41 were founded in quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

Among the national caseload, 11,559 are community infection cases including 9,989 cases having been confirmed since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence broke out.

As many as 2,445 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals while the death rose to 66.

So far, 20 localities have gone free of new cases for at least 14 days./.
