Health Ministry reports 206 new COVID-19 cases

VGP - The Ministry of Health confirmed three imported cases and 203 community infection cases of COVID-19 over the last 18 hours, raising the national caseload to 12,620.

Two more Coronavirus-related fatalities take death toll to 64

The imported cases include a 29-year old woman who returned home from Malaysia on May 6, a 46-year old woman from Ivory Coast on June 18 and a 49-year old man from Cambodia on June 15.

All the others are local infections in Ho Chi Minh City (104), Bac Giang (31), Bac Ninh (29), Nghe An (15), Binh Duong (12), Tien Giang (3), Long An (3), Hoa Binh (2), Ha Tinh (1), Da Nang (1), Lao Cai (1) and Ha Noi (1). Of these 177 cases were recorded in quarantine or lockdown areas.

Among the national caseload, 10,945 are locally-transmitted cases, including 9,375 cases having been confirmed since the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence broke out on April 27, 2021.
