Viet Nam confirms 133 community infection cases of COVID-19

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 133 new local infection cases of COVID-19 on Sunday morning, raising the national patient tally to 4,118.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases reported from May 1 to 12:00 am on May 16

The latest cases were reported in Bac Giang (98), Bac Ninh (23), Dien Bien (five), Ha Noi-based Cancer Hospital (five), Hoa Binh (one), Hung Yen (one).

All these cases have been quarantined or residents of areas placed under social distancing or lockdown, according to the ministry.

Viet Nam is experiencing the fourth wave of community transmissions, with 1,079 cases confirmed in 26 provinces and cities nationwide since April 27, 2021.
