Vu stressed the point at an online meeting on COVID-19 response with authorities of Da Nang, City, Bac Ninh, and Bac Giang provinces on May 12.

Viet Nam is home to 369 industrial parks and nearly 30 border economic zones with around 3.8 million workers, and 700 industrial clusters with 600,000 workers.

Most of the factories are closed spaces where many people are working at the same time, thus they are highly transmissible environments, said Deputy PM Vu.

All factories and industrial parks must seriously and fully evaluate and update their pandemic combat work on the safety living map at http://antoancovid.vn, Vu ordered.

He also tasked localities to ensure strict implementation of preventive measures at workers’ residential areas, markets and service facilities.

Viet Nam confirmed 53 new COVID-19 cases, including 52 local infections, raising to the national caseload to 3,593, according to the Ministry of Health./.
