PM Decides To Supplement US$ 53 Mln for COVID-19 Vaccine Purchase

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has decided to allocate VND1,237 billion (around US$53 million) from the central budget to the Ministry of Health to buy COVID-19 vaccines and carry out vaccinations.

This is supplementary funding for the ministry which is responsible for drafting and submitting to competent authorities for approval of an overall plan on COVID-19 response for 2021.

The plan includes detailed information on purchase and use of 150 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

As of 6:05 pm on Thursday, Viet Nam confirmed 2,617 COVID-19 infection cases, including 2,359 recoveries and 35 fatalities./.
