Leaders show gratitude to healthcare workers on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on Friday extended sincere greetings, thanks and gratitude to all Vietnamese healthcare workers who have made great sacrifice to protect people’s health, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic time.

Dam, who is Head of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, said the international community spoke highly of Viet Nam’s capacity in the fight against the pandemic, in which healthcare workers have played the central role.

He called on Vietnamese people to show gratitude and solidarity to our healthcare workers by effectively implementing the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

* Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh presented the title of “People’s Doctor” to five lecturers of the Ha Noi Medical University, at a ceremony the same day.

These lecturers are Associate Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Binh; Associate Prof, Dr. Doan Quoc Hung, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Uoc, and Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Viet.

On the occasion, 12 doctors of the university were awarded the title of “Excellent Doctors”.

* On February 25, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a flower basket to congratulate doctors and medical staff on the front line in the fight against COVID-19 in Hai Duong Province – the current biggest hotspot in Viet Nam.

* Also on February 25, Secretary of the Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue inspected COVID-19 prevention and control at Thanh Nhan Hospital on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the national doctors’ day./.
