VN confirms nine new local COVID-19 cases

The latest cases were recorded in Hai Duong (eight) and Quang Ninh (one), according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

Among the cases in Hai Duong, three were linked to a COVID-19 cluster in Kim Lien Commune, Kim Thanh District.

All of them have been quarantined after being identified as F1 individuals. They are being treated at the No. 2 field hospital located at the Hai Duong Technical Medical University.

Meanwhile, Quang Ninh’s case is the F1 individual who had been in close contact with other COVID-19 patients.

Of the national patient tally, 1,717 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead.
