Thirty-seven new local COVID-19 infection cases take tally to 1,948

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed 37 new community infection cases of COVID-19, bringing the national patient tally to 1,948.

All the latest patients numbered from 1912 to 1948 are in Hai Duong’s Chi Linh City.

Of the country’s patient tally, 1,461 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead.

Among the current active case, patient 1536 being treated at the Hospital for Lung Diseases in central city of Da Nang is in serious health condition.

The patient has suffered from hypertension and diabetes for years.

Earlier, on February 3, the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV) asked airlines to quickly refund or exchange tickets for passengers who cannot fly to their destinations in areas under lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam requested relevant agencies and localities to try to limit lockdown to the smallest possible scale during an online meeting of the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control with Hai Duong, Quang Ninh and Ha Noi authorities on February 3./
