Two recovered Russian patients tested positive for COVID-19 again

VGP - Two Russians (patients numbered 1333 and 1334) have tested positive for the coronavirus again, according to the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province’s Department of Health.

They are mother and her daughter arriving in Viet Nam for reunion with their family member working for the Viet Nam-Russia oil and gas joint venture Vietsovpetro in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

Upon their arrival, they were sent for medical quarantine at Movenpick hotel in Cam Lam District of the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

They tested positive for COVID-19 on November 26 and were treated at Cam Lam Medical Facility.

They were discharged from hospital on December 25 after being declared free of the virus. 

They boarded flight VN 6203 from Khanh Hoa Province-based Cam Ranh International Airport to Ho chi Minh City-based Tan Son Nhat International Airport on January 8. 

They had their samples taken by Vietsovpetro Medical Facility and the outcomes released on January 10 showed that they were positive again for the virus. 

Both of them were admitted to Long Dien Medical Facility for further treatment while three F1 cases, including the husband and two health workers at the center, were sent to a concentrated quarantine establishment in Ba Ria-Vung Tau and 11 F2 cases were quarantined at home./.
