The AHA program aims to introduce passengers to the international airports that have met the international standards for pandemic prevention and given first and foremost priority to health safety of their passengers in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In order to receive the certificate, the airport had to undergo a strict assessment of health safety measures, including cleaning and disinfection procedures, physical distancing, staff protection, physical layout, passenger communications, and passenger facilities.

ACI is the only global trade representative of the world’s airports. Established in 1991, ACI represents airports interests with governments and international organizations such as ICAO, develops standards, policies and recommended practices for airports, and provides information and training opportunities to raise standards around the world.

The ACI-launched AHA program provides airports with an assessment of how aligned their health measures are with the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and the International Civil Aviation Organization  (ICAO) Council Aviation Restart Task Force recommendations along with industry best practices.

The program is open to all ACI member airports of all sizes in all regions.

Earlier, Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport received the certificate of AHA from ACI.
