PM Phuc and President Trump agreed that the bilateral cooperation has advanced robustly across all fields after 25 years of normalization of diplomatic relations, especially in recent years.

They expressed their belief that the bilateral ties will further deepen in a stable manner in order to bring benefits to both countries, in which economic and trade cooperation remains a focus and impetus of the bilateral ties.

A strong, independent and prosperous Viet Nam with increasingly important role in the region is Vietnamese people’s shared aspiration and this is in line with the U.S. interets.

PM Phuc took the occasion to reaffirm that Viet Nam, as a developing country with limited economic capacity, has pursued the monetary policy in favor of inflation control and macro-econonic stabilization.

The monetary policy has not been designed to gain advantages in interantional trade, the Vietnamese Government chief reiterated.

The two leaders agreed to task their ministries and agencies to continue working together to comprehensively resolve the U.S. concerns in order to sustain and develop harmonious, sustainable and mutually beneficiary trade ties between the two countries.

PM Phuc congratulated President Trump on successful development of two Covid-19 vaccines at breakneck speed./.
