Seed supply for Central provinces affected by natural calamity

The beneficiary provinces are Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa.

Specifically, Quang Tri Province will receive 1,000 tons of rice seeds, 80 tons of corn seeds and 10 tons of vegetable seeds while Quang Binh Province will be supplied with 640 tons of rice seeds, 120 tons of corn seeds and 10 tons of vegetable seeds.

Meanwhile, Ha Tinh Province will be provided with 500 tons of rice seeds, 100 tons of corn seeds and 10 tons of vegetable seeds while Thanh Hoa Province will be allocated with 200 tons of rice seeds, 200 tons of corn seeds and 10 tons of vegetable seeds.

The People’s Committees of these four localities were asked to allocate the seed supply to accurate beneficiaries.

Earlier in December, the Government chief had asked the Ministry of Finance to provide nearly 3,600 tons of rice from the national reserve to support flood victims in the Central localities of Quang Binh and Quang Ngai.
