VN confirms three new cases of Covid-19

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed three new cases of Covid-19 Monday, taking the tally to 1,346.

All of them are Vietnamese repatriated from the US and Japan, according to the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

Specifically, patient 1,344 is a 21-year-old woman from District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.

She took the flight VN431 from the US to the central city of Da Nang on November 23 after transiting in the Republic of Korea.

The patient is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases.

She is the third passenger onboard the flight VN431 to have been confirmed positive for the virus.

Patient 1,345 is a 22-year-old woman from Yen Dung District, Bac Giang Province.

The woman was repatriated from Japan on November 27 on flight VJ837 and quarantined in Thanh Hoa Province.

The patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 1,346 is a 25-year-old man from Cam Xuyen District, Ha Tinh Province.

He was brought home from Japan on November 28 on flight QH4913 and quarantined in Thanh Hoa Province.

The patient is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Of the country’s patient tally, 1,179 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead./.
