Two imported cases Covid-19 bring total to 1,341

VGP – Two Vietnamese nationals repatriated from Russia and Japan were confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, raising the patient tally to 1,341.

Patient 1,340 is a 23-year-old man from Thanh Hoa Province.

He took flight VJ8650 from Japan to the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on November 13.

The patient is being treated at the Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Patient 1,341 is a 20-year-old woman from Ha Noi’s Ba Dinh District.

She flew from Russia to Khanh Hoa Province on November 24 on flight QH9195.

The patient is being treated at the Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Earlier, four passengers onboard the flight QH9195 had been confirmed positive for the virus.

The same day, nine more patients were declared free of Covid-19, bringing the total recoveries to 1,179.

Viet Nam has gone 87 consecutive days without a single community infection case, according to the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam./.
