The aforementioned point was emphasized by the Government leader in his conclusions at the Government’s conference on law making and enforcement work held digitally on Tuesday morning.

PM Phuc asserted that in many terms, especially during the past five years, the National Assembly and the Government have considered institutional building as a strategic breakthrough, especially the perfecting of the socialist-oriented market economy institutions. Since the beginning of the term, the Cabinet has determined this as a task of focus and spent more time on law building.

The PM noted that Viet Nam has a basically full legal system across fields that ensures consistency, transparency, feasibility and synchronism between economic institutions and political institutions. In general, the quality of document building has improved significantly and ensured the set progress.

However, because up to 90% of laws are drafted by the Government, Phuc said the Government would be the first to admit shortcomings if there are inadequacies in law making.

According to the leader, in addition to law building, the organization of law enforcement has seen many innovations as well. Every law passed by the National Assembly has been strictly implemented, which has served as a foundation for the country’s sustainable development.

Praising the efforts made by the Ministry of Justice as well as other ministries and branches, PM Phuc stressed the need to maintain integrity in law making and enforcement, as well as to combat group interest in law building.

He assigned the Ministry of Justice to coordinate with the Government Office in synthesizing all opinions raised at the conference, based on which the PM will issue a directive on improving the efficiency of law building and enforcement in the new situation.

The PM urged special attention to bring the country forward on the basis of institutions and laws, which is one of the three breakthroughs determined by the Party./.
