Indian and Philippine nationals among five new cases of Covid-19

VGP – Viet Nam on Monday confirmed five new cases of Covid-19, including two foreign nationals, bringing the patient tally to 1,312.

Patient 1,308 is a 51-year-old Indian man who flew from India to Ha Noi on November 11.

He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 1,309 is a 50-year-old man from Ky Anh town, Ky Anh District, Ha Tinh Province.

Patient 1,310 is a 24-year-old man from Ward 14, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

Both of them landed at the HCMC-based Tan Son Nhat International Airport on November 8 on flight VN82 from Romania.

They are being treated at the city’s Cu Chi field hospital.

Patient 1,311 is a 29-year-old male flight attendant from Ward 12, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.

He landed at the Da Nang International Airport on flight VN311 from Japan and was quarantined in Ho Chi Minh City.

The patient is being treated at the city’s Cu Chi field hospital.

Patient 1,312 is a 29-year-old Philippine woman who flew from the Republic of Korea to Ha Noi on flight OZ733.

She is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

The same day, nine more patients were declared free of the virus, raising the total recoveries to 1,151.

So far, Viet Nam has reported 35 Covid-19 fatalities, including 31 in Da Nang, three in Quang Nam and one in Quang Tri.

The nation has gone 82 days without a single local infection./.
