New imported case of Covid-19 brings patient tally to 1,307

VGP – A 29-year-old man brought home from the Philippines became the latest case of Covid-19 in Viet Nam, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control reported Sunday.

The man, native of Quy Nhon city of the south central province of Binh Dinh, landed at Can Tho airport on November 19 and was quarantined in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang.

He is being treated at Tien Giang’s Long Dinh field hospital.

Of the country’s patient tally, 1,142 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead.

Today marked the 81th consecutive day Viet Nam has gone without a single community transmitted case of Covid-19./.
