Germany returnee becomes latest case of Covid-19

The man, native of Ha Noi, landed at Van Don airport in Quang Ninh on November 19 and was quarantined in Thai Binh Province.

He is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Viet Nam has gone 78 days without a single local infection and the number of recoveries rose to 1,142 while 35 others have been reported dead so far.

Though the Covid-19 pandemic has been brought under control, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam called on authorities at all levels to sustain vigilance and regularly inspect observation of preventive measures./.
