One COVID-19 relapse case founded in HN

VGP - A man in Ha Noi has tested positive again for the novel coronavirus two months after recovering from the virus, according to the city's Center for Disease Control.

On November 7, he went to the Transport Hospital with fever symptom and was given medicines for a viral infection.

On November 14, the patient experienced 39-degree fever and felt fatigued. He returned to the hospital and had a novel coronavirus test and the testing outcome showed he was positive.

He was then admitted to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for treatment in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

The local authorities have yet found out why the patient contracted the virus a second time.

A preliminary investigation found 25 people had been in close contact with him, including his grandmother, father and brother at Cau Giay District.

Earlier, a 21-year-old man (patient 1032) returning from Russia on August 10, tested positive for the virus on August 25, and was treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi.

So far, Viet Nam confirmed 1,281 cases of COVID-19, including 1,103 recoveries and 35 deaths.  

Ha Noi had gone three months without a community infection case./.
