Ten new cases of COVID-19 brings patient tally to 1,266

VGP – Viet Nam confirmed ten new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the patient tally to 1,266.

The latest cases include five Russian and German experts and six Vietnamese repatriated from the Russia, Japan and the US.

Patients from 1,217 to 1,220 are Russian experts who took flight IAE4405 from Russia to the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on November 8 and were quarantined in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

These experts are being treated at the Ba Ria Hospital.

Patient 1,221 is a 45-year old German national who flew from Singapore to the Tan Son Nhat International Airport on November 8 and was sent to Ninh Thuan Privince for quarantine.

He is being treated at the Ninh Thuan General Hospital.

Patients from 1,222 to 1,224 are Vietnamese brought home from Russia on October 31.

After landing at the Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province, they were sent to a concentrated quarantine camp in HOa Binh Province.

They are being treated at the Hoa Binh General Hospital.

Patient 1,225 is a 28-year-old man from Ward 9, Soc Trang city, Soc Trang Province.

He flew from Japan to Da Nang airport on flight VN311 from Japan on November 8.

The patient is being treated at the city’s Lung Hospital.

Patient 1,226 is a 61-year old man from Ward 10, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.

He took flight VN311 from the US and landed at the Da Nang airport on November 8.

He is being treated at the Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.

Of the country’s patient tally, 1,087 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead, said the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control./.
