Russian returnee confirmed latest case of COVID-19

VGP – A 57-year-old man repatriated from Russia was confirmed the latest case of COVID-19 this afternoon, bringing the patient tally to 1,169.

The man, native of Ho Chi Minh City, took flight VN5062 from Russia to Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province on October 16 and was quarantined in a concentrated camp in Ninh Binh Province.

He is being treated at the Cau Yen Regional General Clinic in Ninh Binh’s Hoa Lu District.

This is the 15^th COVID-19 patient onboard the flight VN5062.

The same day, four patients were declared free of the virus, raising the total recoveries to 1,061./.
