VN reports three imported COVID-19 cases

VGP – One Malaysian expert and two Vietnamese nationals repatriated from Russia became the latest COVID-19 cases in Viet Nam, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said Tuesday afternoon.

Specifically, patient 1,111 is a 20-year old woman from Thanh Tho Commune, Thach Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province.

Patient 1,112 is a 26-year old woman from Nam Thanh Commune, Tien Hai District, Thai Binh Province.

Both of them took flight QH9495 from Russia to Can Tho City on September 26 and were sent to a concentrated quarantine site in Bac Lieu Province.

They first tested negative on September 27 but the outcomes of their second test on October 12 showed they are positive for the virus.

The pair are being treated at the Bac Lieu General Hospital.

Patient 1,113 is a 37-year old Malaysian expert who landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on October 10 on flight MH766 and was sent to a concentrated quarantine camp in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

With the latest cases, the patient tally rose to 1,113, of whom 1,069 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead./.
