Five Indian experts test positive for COVID-19 in Viet Nam

VGP – Five Indian experts became the latest COVID-19 cases in Viet Nam, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported Friday afternoon.

The latest patients, numbered from 1,101 to 1,105 and aged between 31 and 66, work for Sethia Hemraj Rice Oil Company in the Southern province of Dong Thap.

They landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on flight 6E9471 on October 6 and were sent to a concentrated quarantine site in Dong Thap Province.

The Indian nationals had their samples collected by Can Tho City Center for Disease Control on October 7 and the test results turned out they contracted the virus.

All these patients are being treated at Sa Dec General Hospital.

The same day, the National Steering Committee also said patient 1,063 was declared free of the virus, raising the number of recoveries to 1,024 out of the total of 1,105./.
