VN confirms three new COVID-19 cases, total reaches 1,063

VGP – Three Vietnamese repatriated from Russia were confirmed positive for COVID-19 this afternoon, raising the patient tally to 1,063.

Patient 1,061 is a 23-year old woman in Nam Dinh Province.

Patient 1,062 is a 24-year old man from Ward 2, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City.

Patient 1,063 is a 26-year old man from Yen Son District, Tuyen Quang Province.

They were among passengers onboard the flight VN5062 landing at Cam Ranh International Airport on September 10 and quarantined immediately in the nearby province of Phu Yen.

The trio are being isolated and treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases of Phu Yen General Hospital.

The same day, eight COVID-19 patients were declared free of the virus and exited hospitals in Da Nang and Quang Nam, raising the total recoveries to 918.

At present, the nation is placing 36,299 people under quarantine and medical surveillance, including 504 at hospitals, 17,703 at centralized quarantine camps, and 18,092 at places of residence./.
