VN goes four days without community transmission of COVID-19

VGP – Viet Nam has gone four days without community transmission of COVID-19, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said Sunday afternoon.

This means the country’s patient tally remains unchanged at 1,049, including 815 recoveries and 35 deaths.

The current patients are being isolated and treated at 19 medical establishments nationwide. Of these, six are critically ill, accounting for 2.9% of the current active cases.

The nation is placing 40,620 people under quarantine and medical surveillance, including 830 at hospitals, 15,006 at centralized quarantine camps and 24,784 at places of residence.

As nearly 23 students nationwide began the new school-year 2020-2021 on September 5 morning, the Ministry of Health has provided instructions for students to protect themselves at schools.

Accordingly, they are requested to wash hands with clean water and soap regularly, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.

They should report to their teachers about other student who displays such symptoms like cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath./.
