Seven new COVID-19 cases confirmed, total rises to 1,029

VGP – Seven residents of Da Nang were confirmed positive for COVID-19 cases this afternoon, raising the country’s patient tally to 1,029, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

With these cases, the total COVID-19 patients linked to Da Nang increased to 547, said the committee.

Specifically, patient 1,023 is a 20-year old man from Hoa Tien Ward, Hoa Vang District.

Patient 1,024 is a 16-year old girl from Hoa Tien Ward, Hoa Vang District.

The Hoa Tien Ward is being placed under lockdown and the pair had their samples collected on August 24.

Patient 1,025 is a 70-year old man from My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Patient 1,026 is a 21-year old woman from My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Patient 1,027 is a 43-year old man from My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Patient 1,028 is a 20-year old woman from My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Patient 1,029 is a 46-year old woman from My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

The patients 1,025-1,029 are family members and came in contact with patient 1,017.

All these above patients are being treated at the Hoa Vang field hospital.

The country’s patient tally includes 592 recovered cases and 27 deaths./.
