COVID-19 death toll rises to 25

VGP – The Ministry of Health reported a 51-year old woman in Da Nang died of COVID-19 and other diseases, taking Viet Nam’s COVID-19 death toll to 25.

The woman, who is the 698^th COVID-19 patient in the country, had received treatment at the Da Nang Lung Hospital.

Her causes of death include pneumonia caused by COVID-19, acute myocardial infarction caused by septic shock, muti-organ failure caused by metastatic ovarian cancer, kidney stones, and removal of left lung.

The ministry said most of COVID-19 deaths in Viet Nam are the elderly with history of acute diseases and their health conditions get worse quickly after contracting the virus./.
