Another 11 COVID-19 patients given all-clear in Quang Nam

VGP – Eleven more COVID-19 patients in the central province of Quang Nam were given the all-clear on August 18 morning, according to Mai Van Muoi, Deputy Director of the Provincial Health Department and head of the province’s COVID-19 treatment sub-committee.

Among the latest recoveries, five were discharged from the Quang Nam Central General Hospital, including Patients 433, 643, 834, 773 and 622, all residing in the locality.

The remaining six – Patients 519, 549, 563, 564, 551 and 616 – made a full recovery at the Quang Nam Regional General Hospital.

After their discharge, these 11 patients will undergo home quarantine four another 14 days.

According to Muoi, all COVID-19 positive cases in Quang Nam have responded well to treatment, even the elderly patients (one aged 100) and those with underlying health conditions.

As many as 13 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital in Quang Nam thus far since July 25 when the first community case was reported in Da Nang.

Currently, more than 87,670 people having close contact or entering from pandemic-hit areas are being quarantined at hospitals (3,395), concentrated quarantine establishments (24,511), and home and accommodations (59,766).
