Social distancing rules lifted in Buon Ma Thuot city

VGP – The Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee has decided to lift social distancing in Buon Ma Thuot City from 0:00 of August 17.

The local authorities ordered departments, sectors, and People’s Committees of districts, communes, and city to stay alert and encourage people to regularly wash hands with soap or sanitizers; wear masks at public places; maintain at least 1 meter safe distance; and avoid mass gathering of less than 30 people at public places. 

Social distancing rules are still in place among vulnerable groups including the elderly and people with chronic diseases. 

Business activities, sports event, relic sites are resumed while precautious measures are still in place. 

Earlier, Buon Ma Thuot city in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak implemented social distancing measures starting from midnight August 3 following two positive novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases being detected in the locality. Local residents were advised to remain indoors as much as possible, and to leave their homes only for buying food, medicine, or other essential services./.
