More than 340 Vietnamese citizens repatriated from Australia

VGP – A Viet Nam Airlines flight carrying more than 340 Vietnamese citizens in Australia landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on August 7.

Passengers on the flight included children under 18, the elderly, patients with chronic diseases, students without residence due to the closure of the dormitories and other disadvantaged cases.

The Vietnamese representative offices sent officials to the airport to directly support these citizens.

Strict safety measures were enforced during the flight to protect passengers’ health and prevent the spread of the disease.

Following the flight's landing, all passengers and crew members were given health check and quarantined as regulated.

Viet Nam has organized 85 rescue flights, bringing home 21,120 citizens stranded abroad due to Covid-19./.
