Two new COVID-19 cases confirmed, total rises to 372

VGP - The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has reported two new COVID-19 cases in Viet Nam, bringing the patient tally to 372.

The latest patients are women who returned from Russia on July 9 on flight VN5062, said the committee.

Patient 371 is a 36-year old woman from Nam Sach Distrit of the northern province of Hai Duong.

Patient 372 is a 31-year old woman from Ha Noi's Me Linh District.

Upon returning to Viet Nam, the pair were sent to a centralized quarantine camp in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.

As of 6:10 pm on Sunday, Viet Nam has gone 87 days without COVID-19 community infection. Among the patient tally, 350 have been cleared of the virus, accounting for 94.1%.

The nation is putting 11,009 people under medical surveillance to prevent transmission of the virus, of whom 62 at hospitals, 10,541 at centralized quarantine facilities, and 406 at places of residence./.
