Viet Nam has gone 82 straight days without community COVID-19 infection

As of 6:00 AM on July 7, Viet Nam confirmed 369 patients, including 229 imported cases immediately quarantined upon arrival. 

Of the patient tally, 341 patients, or 92.4%, have been cleared of the virus, and no fatalities have been reported so far.

Among the current 28 active patients, six tested negative at least once for the SARS-CoV-2 that causes the disease.

Currently 13,047 people who had contact with COVID-19 patients and returned home from the pandemic-hit areas are being quarantined either at hospitals, concentrated establishments or at home.

Comatose for months, patient 91 – British male pilot who is Viet Nam's most critical COVID-19 patient – has made a miraculous recovery and is expected to return to the UK on July 12.

After 111 days being hospitalized, including 68 days in a coma, he finally woke up and then fully recovered in a safe country, while the COVID-19 pandemic is still a danger in many parts of the world./.
