More than 350 Vietnamese citizens fly home from Australia, New Zealand

Passengers onboard the Viet Nam Airlines flight are children under 18, the elderly, pregnant women, sick people, workers with expired labor contracts, students without residence due to the closure of dormitories and other disadvantaged cases.

To ensure health for citizens and prevent the transmissions of COVID-19, national flag carrier strictly implemented precautious measures during the flight.

After landing at Tan Son Nhat international airport on July 3, all passengers and crew members were sent medically checked and quarantined as regulated.

This is the 34th repatriation flight arranged since April 24, transporting about 8,920 passengers from foreign countries and territories, official data showed.

As of early July 4, Viet Nam entered the 79th day without recording any new COVID-19 infection in the community, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

As many as 340 patients, or 95.8% of all infections, have recovered and there have been no related deaths./.
