Three more COVID-19 cases confirmed, total rises to 352

VGP – Three more people returning from Kuwait have been confirmed the latest COVID-19 cases in Viet Nam, raising the patient tally to 352, the National Committee for COVID-1 Prevention and Control said Wednesday afternoon.

They are patients numbered 350, 351, and 352.

Patient 350 is a 36-year old man in Hung Ha District of Thai Binh Province. He took flight QH9092 that landed in the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on June 16.

The man, who is the 8th COVID-19 patients board on the flight, is being treated at Ba Ria Hospital in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

Patient 351 is a 46-year old woman in Nhu Xuan District of Thanh Hoa Province and patient 352 is a 30-year old woman in Cam Thuy District of Thanh Hoa Province.

The pair’s flight KU1513 landed in Noi Bai International Airport on June 18 and they were immediately sent to a centralized quarantine facility in Hung Yen Province.

They are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Of the patient tally, 212 are imported cases, the National Steering Committee said.

The number of recovered cases rose to 329 as of 6:10 pm on Wednesday, the committee added.

At present, 6,318 people who have been in close contact with COVID-19 patients or come from the pandemic-stricken areas are under medical surveillance, of whom 107 are quarantined at hospitals, 5,411 at centralized quarantine camps, and 800 at places of residence./.
